Our Mengding Gan Lu which means “sweet dew” was originally a tribute tea to the Emperor of China and boasts a 2000 year old history. This tea is harvested from Ya An Mengding Mountain and is grown at an elevation of 800+ meters. In 53 B.C, Wu Lizhen, known as the Father of Tea, first planted the tea trees in the Imperial tea garden. Sichuan Mengshan tea is famous for its roasted chestnut flavours and light delicate aromas. It’s silky and smooth on the palate and has a fantastic sweet aftertaste. Our Sichuan Gan Lu green tea is all pre-rain (qin ming), pure unblended high mountain No.9 cultivar tea trees. 2023 pre-rain teas have arrived and are in stock and ready for sale!!
